“Our ability to truly affect the lives of abused women and their children is very much tied to our ability to help them feel safe, to put a roof over their heads, and to assure them they do not need to fear where their next meal will come from,” said Women's Center Executive Director Beth Casady. “No one can focus on life changing decisions and actions if their and their children's basic needs aren't met. Harbor House is our community's answer to this first crucial step in helping to create lives free of violence.”
A HUGE thank you and shout out to the women of the Dead River Derby for once again donating a portion of their yearly calendar sales to the Women's Center.

The snowy owl was set free. Jenn was thrilled to be able to hold the owl and set her free and she flew off strongly. A good crowd attended despite the snow, and the MJ and TV6 both covered it. Then Sage got on Kathy's glove for pictures. Jenn donated $600 for the snowy, Kathy $300 for Sage, and additional donations from the crowd means that more than $1,100 was raised for the Women's Center. Thanks to all who made this a great success, and thank you Chocolay Raptor Center!!
